The Torch of Life Relay is a campaign dedicated to getting people in Ontario to join the organ donor registry. This is the 8th campaign in the organization's history. The organ donor registry is just over a year old and the campaign started with a goal of getting one million residents of Ontario signed up.
"We found out last week that presently there are 2.4 million people registered," said Relay organizer and leader George Marcello. "We have already surpassed our original goal. Our new goal is to get five million people registered. If we do that Ontario can be a leader in organ donation.
The Torch of Life Relay this year includes three incredible individual stories. Marcello calls Hélène Campbell, Kristopher Knowles and Khaled Khatib the three generals campaign.
